Beautiful & Rare French Leather Club Chair, Normandy Model Circa 1920
This beautiful early 20th century Normandy model is in a gorgeous original condition. This is a lovely looking chair with fine studwork to the front and around the rear perimeter. The chair sits on stained walnut feet. The leather is still wonderfully thick and the 100-year patina boast beautiful colours of warm chestnut and lighter tans. The cushion has been reupholstered in a period matching olive-green velvet. There are no rips or previous repairs, and all the necessary seat and spring work has been completed for your peace of mind and comfort. This chair is a wonderful early model and will certainly grace any space where placed.

We specialise in original, French, leather club chairs. Even though our stock is quite consistent, finding original club chairs in a very good, original condition is a constant challenge. With our partners in France, we are always on the lookout and our chairs can be found anywhere from a local brocante to a chateau sale, from the north to the south of France.
In our experience, nearly all the chairs will need attention to the springs, after all they're not just objects of beauty, they are to be used. In addition, the leather on our chairs is always nourished and the upholstery cleaned.
