About the Item

This handsome and generously seated pair of chairs are not only stylish, easy on the eye but are in great condition, with a beautiful deep caramel patina. The low-slung design of these chairs makes the sitting experience very nice indeed. There is one ancient repair approximately 4cm long, situated on the top of the chair. This has been checked and we’re quite happy that this will not deteriorate further, it has also blended in nicely with the chair’s look and overall story. This is a fabulous and rare pair of club chairs that will last for several generations to come. We've been sourcing and selling early 20th Century and antique French furniture for 20 years. All of our pieces are sympathetically restored. We specialise in original, French, leather club chairs. Even though our stock is quite consistent, finding original club chairs in a very good, original condition is a constant challenge. With our partners in France, we are always on the lookout and our chairs can be found anywhere from a local brocante to a chateau sale, from the north to the south of France. In our experience, nearly all the chairs will need attention to the springs, after all they're not just objects of beauty, they are to be used. In addition, the leather on our chairs is always nourished and the upholstery cleaned. Our customers range from private homes to hotels and clubs, film and fashion shoots.
