Vintage Mid-Century Modern Club Lounge Chair by Flair Division for Bernhardt
By Bernhardt
Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome Mid-Century Modern club chair or lounge chair from the Flair Division of Bernhardt Furniture. It is in wonderful vintage condition and wearing its original light turquoise blue nubby fabric. It has been professionally cleaned but the fabric does have fading as you would expect and there are still stains but no holes or tears. It will be at its best recovered. It is priced accordingly. Please see photos, circa 1960s. I must tell you when we walked into the home where we obtained this chair and many of our other recent and soon to be offerings, I thought if I was ever going to faint this is the time. Of course, the house itself blew me away and then……the original furniture and art in all its glory. This chair is part of a three-piece living room suite by Bernhardt Furniture Flair Division and we are offering all three pieces this week. This club chair with its Lawson styling and loose cushions is really comfy; plus, it is held up off the floor with a fabulous base. The base or legs are comprised of a pair of walnut planks turned upright and running from front to back on each side of the chair. Simple yet dynamic. Bernhardt Furniture was established in 1889 by John Mathias Bernhardt and has been going strong for over 125 years. He spent many years out west in Oregon Territory. After a serious illness, traveling back home to Lenoir, North Carolina and working as a logger in the densely forested foothills of Grandfather Mountain...

Located in Topeka, KS
Awesome mid-century modern to post-modern purple striped multi-piece modular club chair. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There was a hole in the left arm that has been patched with fabric from the bottom of the chair and one of the inside seat cushions had a tear that has been fixed but is not visible. The base has been sanded, filled, and repainted black. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1960-1970’s. This club chair is the EPITOME of EXCELLENT seating!!! This is a STUNNING mid-century modern to postmodern style club chair wearing a GORGEOUS striped wool-like fabric featuring purple, orange, green, and red. It has an innovative design in which the seat cushions can be disassembled or rotated… modular in a way. The cushions have a fabulous, rolled appearance that is both unique and inviting. And it’s SO COMFORTABLE!!! It will blend in beautifully with many décor practices, from mid-century modern to modern & postmodern, industrial, and modern country to traditional with anything in between; plus, it will look fabulous in any room. Vintage 1970s Techfab Chromcraft Latte Lounge Chairs
By Chromcraft
Located in Chicago, IL
Vintage Techfab chromcraft lounge chairs. Original vinyl upholstery in very nice condition. Arms are optional. Easily removable. Shown with arms in last photos. In the manner of Herman Miller Alexander Girard, Charles Eames, Milo Baughman History of Arnold Defense From sprockets to rockets: Our diverse manufacturing history It may surprise you to learn that our company originally manufactured trendy dinette sets and household furniture in a large factory on Semple Avenue in St. Louis, beginning in 1945 under the name of Chromcraft, a division of the American Fixture Corporation. The legacy company manufactured a wide range of popular furniture and commercial goods, ranging from desks and record racks, to ammunition containers to skateboards and even a few carousel horses through the late 1960s. In 1961, the dinette business was relocated to Mississippi, and Chromcraft also began producing rocket launchers for the government at the St. Louis facility. By 1967, the company had changed its name to Techfab and had upwards of 800 employees who produced 3,000 chairs, 250 case goods, 600 cardboard-tubed rocket launchers and up to 100 aluminum-tubed rocket launchers every day. In 1969, the company was purchased by Harvard Industries, and the business expanded into electronics during the 1970s. They began renting additional manufacturing space in Arnold, Mo., approximately 20 miles south of St. Louis, so the electronics business could take root. In 1976, the rental site was purchased outright and had expanded four times by the mid-1980s. During this time, the company had approximately 150 employees who designed and produced many handy everyday items such as smoke detectors, security systems, hospital bed switches, CB monitors, circuit boards, fuel primer pumps and remote automobile starters. Over the next decade, the company earned more defense contracts for rocket launchers and decided to divest the furniture business. The St. Louis facility was closed in 1998, and the rocket launcher business moved to the Arnold location. In that same timeframe, an 8,000-square foot warehouse was constructed to house production materials and the die-cast fuel pump...
