19th c Set of Eight Brazilian Carved Jacaranda Caned Seat and Back Dining Chairs
About the Item
A fine set of eight Brazilian carved Jacaranda dining chairs, two arm chairs and six side chairs, with caned seats and backs, carved crests, shaped seat rails, and tapered round turned and reeded legs. Each chair comes with a reversible custom upholstered seat cushion. The set probably dates to the late 19th or early 20th century and is in very good condition, with minor imperfections, surface restorations, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: Arm Chairs: 40.75 in H x 22.5 in W x 24 in D, with a seat height of 18 in (without cushion); Side Chairs: 37.58 in H x 18 in W x 20 in D, with a seat height of 18 in (without cushion).
