Important Set of Eight Regency Period Mahogany Dining Chairs, Early 19th Century

About the Item

This English set of eight classical Regency saber leg chairs are crafted out solid Cuban mahogany, The backs are unusually carved with a palmetto tree splat. The exceptionally craved chairs have a beautiful reeded scroll top crest rail with reeding framing a crotched mahogany center, with reeded bold scrolled arms finishing in rosettes going down to reeded saber legs and having drop in seats. This Classic set of eight Regency dining chairs are of the finest quality consisting of two armchairs and six side chairs. Measures: Armchairs 36 1/2 inches high by 22 inches wide by 21 inches deep. Side Chairs 36 1/2 inches high by 19 1/4 inches wide by 19 inches deep.
