Maison Jansen Set of 8 Dining Chairs circa 1940

About the Item

A set of eight Maison Jansen limed oak dining chairs with high straight backs and legs hand carved with acanthus leaves. The backrests retain their original 1940s hand painted silk, the seats are newly upholstered and colour matched as close as possible. Bibliography: James Archer Abbott, Jansen furniture, Acanthus Press, New York, 2007, p. 299 for a similar example.
