Pair of Antique Ebonised Aesthetic Movement Side Chairs, 19th Century

About the Item

Antique Victorian Upholstered Parlour Chairs Ebonised frames with turned and carved details very much in the Aesthetic style. c.1880s in date. Unsigned but very much in the style of designs by Bruce Talbot for March, Jones & Cribb or Gillows. Upholstered in faded Liberty ‘Ianthe’ fabric. They are in good vintage condition, they are solid and sturdy and built well. There is some naturally occurring cosmetic wear but nothing too serious. The upholstery is faded and a tad marked in places but we think this adds to their charm. Each one measures 88cm high x 46cm wide x 50cm deep. The seat height is 45cm.
