Set of Four Louis XV-Style Upholstered Dining Chairs

About the Item

This set of four upholstered dining chairs wonderfully recreates the Louis XV style with sinuous fruitwood frames and nary a straight line in sight. Created by Minton-Spidell, this updated interpretation of the Classic Louis XV side chair is minimally designed with a natural finish and little carved ornamentation. Each chair features a lobed back rest, a wide, flared seat, and four slightly cabriole legs, the front two ending in claw-form feet. The seat and back are upholstered with a plush abstract floral fabric in a neutral palette of light brown and pale green with colorful accents. The opposite side of the seat backs are upholstered in a contrasting green fabric patterned with leafy foliage, possibly thistle. Comfortable yet beautiful, the set looks wonderful gathered around a dining table or placed throughout a sitting room as additional seating. From the collection of Frances and Gary Comer.
