Set of Twelve Spanish 19th Century Walnut, Leather, and Bronze Dining Chairs

About the Item

A striking and most decorative complete set of twelve Spanish 19th century walnut, pressed leather, and bronze dining chairs. Each chair is raised by beautiful most unique scrolled feet below block reserves and turned legs. Each leg is connected by a beautiful pierced foliate designed stretcher with carved animals. The seats and backs retain all their original most decorative pressed leather with stunning wonderfully executed scrolled foliate designs, exceptional colorful patinated highlights, and finely detailed central masks above claw feet. The leathers are secured by their original bronze rosette nails with impressive richly chased lion head mounts at the tops flanked the finely carved top walnut foliate reserves. All original patina throughout. Measure: Seat height: 18.25".
