The Urithi Dining Chair is an original design, handmade with hardwood to be a functional art piece. The Chair was designed from the back, as this is the part you see mostly during the day. Inspired by nature, the back of the chair with its engraving was designed to resemble the look of ripples on water. Making this, the art piece of the chair.
Urithi means Inheritance in Swahili. The chair carries the designers heritage of coming from South Africa causing this creation to carry the combination of European and African design.
