19th Century American Aesthetic Period Grain Painted Stool with Upholstered Seat
About the Item
American Aesthetic Movement footstool on four tapered legs below a shaped and pierced apron, the legs connected with ball and ring turned x-stretcher centering a large red sphere with gilded spikes. The original faux rosewood painted wood frame with red, green and gold details below a conforming upholstered seat floated above the frame. Wear to paint, later upholstery.
