    This is a beautiful Danish modern footstool designed by Aksel Bender Madsen and Ejner Larsen and made by Ludvig Pontopiddian in the late 1950s. The footstool boasts a solid rosewood frame with nice joinery detail such as through tennons on the stretchers and splined miters on the leg corners. One look, and it is clear that this Madsen and Larsen Ottoman is an expertly crafted piece of mid-century modern furniture.
