About the Item

A rare and historically significant Art Nouveau settee, Model No. 715, with matching pair of arm-chairs.designed by Gustav Siegel in 1899 and produced by the renowned Viennese furniture maker Jacob & Josef Kohn. This elegant piece exemplifies the Jugendstil movement with its refined lines and organic form. First appearing in the Kohn catalogue in 1902, this model became one of the early icons of modernist bentwood furniture. Crafted from stained beechwood and re-upholstered in a wonderful Art Nouveau patterned fabric,, this settee and chairs showcases Siegel’s visionary approach to form, merging practicality with artistic sophistication.
