Lounge chairs, pink fabric, metal, Italy, 1970s
These lounge chairs strongly remind of Giancarlo Piretti’s ‘Alky’ lounge chair (1969), yet they feature characteristic differences. Whereas the ‘Alky’ lounge chair consists of one shell, these chairs have a beautiful gap between seat and backrest. Therefore a more light and airy expression is evoked. Like Piretti, also the designer of this version finished the legs with an aluminum frame to provide a strong line and strengthen the vivid look.
