Christensen & Larsen, pair of lounge chairs with coffee table, lacquered wood, fabric, Denmark, 1970s.
Stunning pair of Postmodern lounge chairs with coffee table manufactured by the Danish company Christensen & Larsen. The overall design of the chairs is truly unique and resembles an origami figure. Note the geometric shapes of the white lacquered wooden frame that almost seem to be folded. The pieces are attached by metal joints which create an interesting contrast with the white color. The base functions as a basket for the bulky cushions upholstered in soft white fabric.
