Danish 1940s Medium Height Back Easy Chair in Oak Open Armrests

About the Item

Classic elegant Danish high back armchair from the 1940s by Alfred Christensen for Slagelse Mobelvaerk with open armrests in beautifully carved oak. The legs and armrests which originally had been stained dark by the manufacturer have been sanded down to show a more natural oak grain and color. Very elegant sculptural silhouette . Nice presence and comfort. Solid and sturdy construction and very comfortable. The original fabric is worn and needs to be replaced. We are able to re-upholster in lambswool or shearling should you wish or any other fabric you may prefer. Overall very good condition with just minor age wear and patina to the legs and armrests.
