Pair of 1940's Spoon Back Lounge Chairs with Walnut Frames

About the Item

These gorgeous chairs have lovely solid walnut frames and very light gray linen upholstery (on the front of the chair and the seat cushions). The seat cushions are down filled. The back of the chair is upholstered in a coordinating cut velvet that has shades of cream, black and gray. The light gray is so light that it almost appears to be a cream color. These were just taken down to the frame and reupholstered. All the strapping was replaced. The lower cushion (yes there is a secondary foam cushion under the down cushion) was replaced and reupholstered as well. The batting was fully replaced. The upholsterer did a stunning job of ensuring the patterns on the chair backs match perfectly. These chairs are solid after 80 years of use and they'll remain that way - family heirloom quality chairs. There are some light scratches to the frames (consistent with careful use). Dimensions are 25"W x 23"D x 37.25"H (at top of back) - seat height is 19.5"H (but they are down filled seats so they will compress when they are sat upon.) There's one imperfection to one of the rear legs (see close up images). It isn't easily visible. We have a bit of extra fabric if you need a sample to color match with other furniture pieces.
