Pair of Rare Danish 1950's Barrel Style Chairs with Teak Armrests
About the Item
Rare and beautiful barrel or tub style lounge chairs made in Denmark in the 1950's. Unique design and a strong presence to anchor a room. Legs, armrests and built-in frame in teak with nice color, grain and patina. Comfortable and sturdy construction. These chairs are a bit in the tradition of "banana" club chairs of the 1930's but the wood on the armrests and the loose cushions set them apart. Original fabric and padding in still usable condition but we recommend reupholstery which we can offer at a very competitive cost and short lead time.
