About the Item

Fantastically shaped pair of reclining lounge chairs model Rock ‘n Rest designed in Norway by Rolf Rastad and Adolf Relling and manufactured in the UK by Gimson and Slater, 1960. These sculptural high back chairs feature a solid teak wooden frame and they are newly upholstered with high quality Bisson Bruneel bouclé fabric. Some beautiful details are the nicely wide armrests and flowing shapes. They are adjustable in eight positions from an upright to a reclining position by means of a lever, which is locked in the desired position. This reclining mechanism makes the chairs seat extremely comfortable. They are in excellent condition; the seats are newly upholstered and the wood is refinished with a high quality UV and water protective lacquer with preservation of authenticity. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior. As all of our upholstered pieces, these lounge chairs can also be newly upholstered with any fabric you prefer.
