Danish Art Deco Curved Sofa or Loveseat 1930's
About the Item
Beautiful Danish curved sofa or Banana sofa as the Danes call them. This sofa is a bit unusual compared to others from the era as it has a raised backrest a detail sometimes seen in the Art Deco era. Resting on cylindrical legs in the front. Most likely manufactured sometime in the mid 1930s On top of being very stylish also super solid and very comfortable. The sofa still has it's original upholstery which remains in somewhat useable condition but it shows wear and we recommend reupholstery. While these sofas were common in the Art Deco era not many have survived the passing of time and this is a great opportunity to get to own something of great character that will make a strong statement in any room. Overall very good condition.
