About the Item

The EJ800-Rotor sofa, designed by Johannes Foersom & Peter Hiort-Lorenzen in 1983, is a testament to timeless elegance and exceptional comfort. This original two-seater sofa is characterized by its rotating backrests, thanks to its chromed steel base. In this way, it is possible to have a conventional sofa, with the two parts of the backrest continuous, or a seat in the shape of “you and me”, where the seated are facing each other, which has given it the nickname “Love Seat”. ”. The design is produced by Erik Jørgensen, which in this case corresponds to a private commission from Bang & Olufsen, the emblematic Danish brand created in 1925 for audiovisual and home entertainment products, always following the highest standards in terms of sound, craftsmanship, design and innovation. Bang & Olufsen ordered 250 units of this sofa to decorate its stores and exhibition spaces, all of them featuring the brand name embroidered on the upper part of the backrest. The most original thing about this design is the upholstery, which presents a pattern of plant elements, with a print and color very typical of the 70s and 80s, except for the seat, in plain blue.
