Illum Wikkelsø IW3 Rocking Chair for Niels Eilersen

About the Item

One of the most iconic rocking chairs produced during the Danish mid century furniture period, the IW3 is ergonomically designed and constructed in a beech with beautiful grain. Wikkelsø’s aesthetic is considered quintessentially Scandinavian, drawing inspiration from natural, organic form and translating it into furniture that closely embraces the human figure while remaining steadfast and durable. The IW3 was produced in 3 colours, black, white, and natural. Designed by Illum Wikkelsø for Niels Eilersen in the 1960s.
