About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale absolutely stunning ornately carved with Bobbin turns, Rocking armchair with Cherub stitched upholstery This is pretty much the finest rocking chair I have ever seen. Most likely made for and retailed by Liberty’s London, they were crazy about the Moorish / Moroccan style bobbin turns, this piece looks more Scottish to me as they are larger turnings. The upholstery is a masterpiece of sewing, it has Cherub Angels flying around with clouds, I have never seen the like before Condition wise is perfect for the period, we have cleaned waxed and polished them timber, it is gallery ready!
