An original steel and leather rocking chair by R. W. Winfield, Birmingham England. This design first shown at the Great Exhibition of 1851. The leather, canvas, brass original. A couple of the wooden slats supporting the seat remade. Some attention has to be given to the leather and canvas as it appears to have stretched and would benefit from being backed and shortened. A Classic example of modern or Industrial Design showing up earlier than one would expect.
