An truly iconic De Sede DS600 "Non-Stop" or "Snake" sectional sofa, conceived by the visionary design team of Ueli Berger, Eleanora Peduzzi-Riva, and Heinz Ulrich. This magnificent example consists of an impressive 20 individual pieces of burnt orange leather seating that effortlessly zip together, allowing for unparalleled modularity.
The sofa's legendary flexibility means it "can be curved in or out to varying degrees," adapting to virtually any space or gathering. Its substantial presence is showcased here in a captivating half-moon shape, measuring approximately 18' long and 80" deep. The plush burnt orange leather seating is complemented by a sophisticated base covered in dark brown wool felt, adding to its luxurious appeal.
In vintage condition with visible wear, including some scratching and some color loss, consistent with its age and use. The exquisite burnt orange leather has developed a gorgeous patina, enhancing its rich character and maintaining its good original condition. Also known as the Non Stop sofa, it is a sensually curved, snaking modular sofa whose individual pieces can be zipped together to create multiple variations and arcs.
De Sede has collaborated with some of the world's finest design minds, enhancing the prestige and individuality of their products. Designers like Santiago Calatrava, Antonella Scarpitta, Stephan Hürlemann, Gordon Guillaumier and Philippe Malouin have all created pieces with the atelier. Ubald Klug’s 1974 DS-1025, also known as the Terrazza sofa, is an enduring favorite with its cascading levels of leather. In 2017, de Sede expanded its product line to include high-quality leather handbags, which are as thoughtfully designed and beautifully crafted as its furniture. De Sede AG is now part of the Volare Group AG and continues to handcraft its fine furniture and other goods from its factory in Klingnau.
