About the Item

Extraordinary modular sofa from the "Voyage Immobile" collection, designed by Studio Roche Bobois in the 1990s - an iconic piece of contemporary design, now discontinued and highly collectible. The sofa consists of six individual modules: one corner unit, four lounge elements, and one ottoman. Its outstanding versatility allows for endless layout configurations, depending on the space and functional needs. The relaxed yet refined design is paired with high-quality materials, particularly the cotton fabric upholstery created by the iconic French fashion house Kenzo, featuring solid tones enriched by colorful details that lend sophistication and originality. A distinctive feature of this piece is the adjustable backrests, operated by an internal piston mechanism similar to that of the Maralunga sofa by Vico Magistretti for Cassina. These backrests can be raised or lowered to reveal vibrant inner fabric tones, subtly hidden when closed. Matching Kenzo cushions enhance the chromatic richness of the composition. The low structure and soft lines create a welcoming, cocoon-like feeling, further emphasized by wide seats and plush back cushions - ideal for deep relaxation. Perfect for modern and refined interiors, the Voyage Immobile modular system achieves a unique balance between aesthetics and functionality, embodying the timeless appeal of exclusive designer pieces. Please note: This item is in a very good vintage condition. Minor signs of age may be present but do not affect its functionality. We kindly ask you to consider these characteristics prior to purchase.
