French 19th Century Louis XV St. Walnut and Tapestry Settee

About the Item

A charming French 19th century Louis XV st. Walnut and tapestry settee. The settee is raised by elegant cabriole legs with finely carved mottled fillets which extend along the frieze centered by richly carved flowers. The mottled fillets extend up the elegantly scrolled cushioned arms and along the scalloped shaped back support to a lovely carved floral reserve. Upholstered in its original wonderfully executed tapestry with a scene of a nobleman and noblewoman outside surrounded by beautiful colorful floral designs. All original warm patina throughout.
