George III Triple-chairback Settee, England, Early 19th Century

About the Item

This exceptional settee is ornately carved, its splats formed by a repeated Prince-of-Wales three-feather heraldic motif. Sitting on 9 slender legs, the line of its open backrest jauntily undulates and lends lightness and rhythm to the stately bench seat.
