About the Item

This lovely lines of this Swedish Empire style bench are accented with carved details along the skirt and clean profile of the eight legs. Please enlarge and examine the close up photos to appreciate the softly distressed antique white patina that accents the age and grace of this timeless settee, with gently distressed black trim along the skirt base. The linen/muslin upholstery seen here has simply been tacked in place on the bottom of the bench (it does not have a wood seat/bottom), with a loose, lightly covered cushion temporarily in place. This bench is ready to be upholstered at discretion of buyer. Restored, this bench is solid, stable and ready to be upholstered, used and enjoyed. Old repairs visible, including to a crack along front left corner leg. Seat Height: 18.5" All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely Swedish bench.Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed.
