About the Item

Introducing a truly extraordinary cantilevered accent chair, crafted in the manner of Carlo de Carli, that captures both the imagination and the eye. Artfully designed and crafted, likely custom made, this chair features a gravity-defying cantilevered seat and backrest that seem to float above an audaciously angled set of "V" shaped legs. Built from a frame of solid black walnut with exceptional old-growth woodgrains and upholstered in a thick-cut vinyl this chair, replete with character-rich patina throughout, is ideal for collectors and designers alike searching for a stand-alone accent chair literally unlike any other. Able to blend against a myriad of design backdrops from Italian Modern to Contemporary to Mid-Century Modern and everything in between this chair is the very epitome of "one-of-a-kind". Buy it as is, or have us restore and re-upholster it in a fabric of your choosing - either way, make it yours today before it's truly gone forever. ---Dimensions--- Width: 16 in / 40.64 cm Depth: 20 in / 50.8 cm Height: 34.5 in / 87.63 cm Seat Height: 19 in / 48.26 cm This truly extraordinary accent chair is in 100% original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection! The solid black walnut frame and legs show signs of wear and patina with nicks and scratches throughout (mostly on the legs) and can be seen clearly in the detail photos provided but showing no stains, cracks or other damage whatsoever. The original vinyl shows signs of wear such as areas of minor discoloration (mostly on the backrest) which can be seen in the natural light video provided but showing no rips, fraying or odors whatsoever. As purists, we strive to leave all of our pieces in as original condition as possible. However we do offer restoration services and a full carpentry shop which can professionally sand and refinish the walnut and/or re-upholster the vinyl in a fabric of your choosing. If either of these options interest you please message us prior to checkout to discuss options and pricing. This architecturally stunning chair is comfortable, structurally sound and ready for a lifetime more of use. Please view all photos and video for details on this one-of-a-kind chair's current condition. We're limited on the amount of media we can post so additional photos and videos are available upon request.
