Early 20th Century Carved Elmwood Side Chair with Rattan Seat

About the Item

A Chinese carved elmwood side chair from the early 20th century, with woven rattan seat. Created in China during the early years of the 20th century, this elm chair features a curving back with central splat resting on a rectangular seat with rattan inset. Raised on four straight legs connected to one another through stretchers with carved spandrels in the front, this antique Chinese elmwood piece will make for a great accent chair placed anywhere from a living room, foyer or bedroom.
