Swedish Primitive Kubbstol Chair in Original Paint with Provenance, 18th c.
About the Item
This “kubbstol” is a traditional Scandinavian chair made from a hollowed trunk of wood. This beautiful folk art piece has provenance. The back is inscribed, ANO 1736 (year 1736). This hand - crafted work of art is in beautiful, original condition. The surface has been dry - scraped to reveal the original paint below. There are still tiny specs of paint remaining from the paint that was once over the original paint. The clever design offers a seat that is removable providing storage options on the inside.
We offer expedited, fully-insured, custom packaged / crated, domestic and global shipping, including delivery to the door service, delivery to a receiver service, and white glove service, which includes inside setup with debris removal. Please inquire for more information.
