About the Item
Superb Danish late Art Deco early midcentury sofa from the late 1930's or early 1940s with spring cushions and beautiful open armrests and legs carved in solid stained beech with great grain and patina. We just love the simple yet very refined elegant design of this sofa, which will work very well in combination with any modern furniture and helps bring a strong design statement to any room. It is quite long for the period where settees and loveseats were more common. The sofa is in very good condition with appropriate age wear and patina to the wood. The sofa has been re-upholstered at some point and the wool fabric is remains in usable condition but we recommend having it reupholstered. We can offer reupholstery of this piece at a very competitive price.
