Elegant Italian Venetian Style Sofa, Early 19th C

About the Item

An Italian Venetian style carved wood & upholstered sofa from the early 19th century. This antique settee from Italy features an elegantly arched camel back with gracefully outward tilting arms. Delicately carved wood trim lines the front side of the arms with a soft scroll at top. The back, arms, and seat are all upholstered. The skirt is softly scalloped on sides. This piece is raised upon four shapely legs with pair of volute carvings embellishing their knees. The yellow with florals silk fabric is not new, but in good condition. This early 19th century Venetian Italian settee will add a touch of lavishness to your home; perfect for a bedroom or living space.
