Gondola Sofa by Edward Wormley for Dunbar, USA, 1950s

About the Item

A Gondola sofa designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar’s Janus Collection in the 1950s. This sculptural sofa features angled arms and a floating back attached to the base with walnut supports and brass hardware. It has four cylindrical walnut legs with elegant chrome stretchers. This sofa retains its original yellow fabric with tuft details. Retains ‘Dunbar’ tag under seat. USA, 1950s.

  • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. Great vintage condition. Some patina to the chrome base and minor wear to the wooden legs. Reupholstery recommended. There is one large stain on the seat, and another minor stain that can be seen in photographs. Some pulls and a small tear in fabric.
