About the Item
Sofa bed Robin Day 1980 Habitat edition
Daybed by English designer Robin Day from Habitat editions of the 80s. Hille London produced it in the 1950s. Originally called the Convertible Bed-Settee, Robin Day designed it for young people living in small spaces.
The sofa won the Design Centre Award in 1957.
It has been fully restored by our upholsterer: Anthracite grey fabric made in France, new HR 35 foam, new straps, new base cover. Very comfortable.
Ingenious, the backrest tilts easily backwards to create a resting or permanent bed.
It is therefore in very good condition.
The frame rests on a black metal base. The armrests are in teak. They have a discreet patina of age.
