About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning very rare fully restored cigar brown leather Gentleman's club suite with Thomas Chippendale floating button cushions and marquetry inlaid walnut legs Where to begin! This suite is absolute eye candy from every angle, it is Victorian with the original leather hide to the body of the chairs and sofa, the leather is in fully restored condition throughout, the colour had faded and there was one or two pressure line rips, it has been stabilised then hand dyed this lovely cigar brown colour, I've had all new base cushions made which are in fully aniline natural hide leather, they have then been hand dyed to match the frames, the cushions are leather on both side so if the worse happens and you stain one side you can simply flip them over, the cushion internals are goose feathers for extra comfort. They have been buttoned in the Thomas Chippendale Floating button style. I've also have made scatter back cushions for each seat The frames are solid walnut with Marquetry flamed walnut to the front board and legs, I have never seen this kind of work and detailing on seating before, it's usually reserved for high end grand Italian tables, it has various age-related chips and scratches, as such it has all been restored and French polished throughout Armchair dimensions: Height:- 73.5cm Width:- 88cm Depth:- 96cm Sofa dimensions: Height:- 73.5cm Width:- 152.5 Depth:- 96cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
