This is an antique carriage stool. An English, flame mahogany and tweed upholstered raised fireside rest, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1780.
Support weary legs in tasteful style with this appealing Georgian rest
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Select flame stocks present fine grain interest and warm caramel hues
Professionally reupholstered with quality fabric redolent of Harris Tweed
Set at an angle, the wide cushion traditionally stuffed for comfort
Raised upon a set of ogee bracket feet with sash aprons to centre
This is a delightful antique carriage stool, with a superb professionally reupholstered cushion in the manner of Harris Tweed. Highly tasteful and of generous proportion. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
