This is an antique storage chest. An English, oak fireside bin or bedside box, dating to the Georgian period and later, circa 1780. Usefully proportioned chest with versatile covered interior Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Select oak stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues Ideal for use as a fireside fuel store or bedside chest - suitable for all fuel types Lid opens upon a pair of iron strap hinges to gain access to the storage space Presented with a two drawer faux fascia, dressed with brass drop handles and escutcheons Pair of brass carry handles to the side aid ease of carriage Standing upon a quartet of bracket feet with a shaped apron This is a charming antique storage chest with great colour and of useful proportion. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for use around the home.
