About the Item
One very stylish, medieval looking, little antique stool created in the Arts & Crafts era.
In the Arts & Crafts era many artisans experimented with incorporating different styles in their designs. Without the open, Gothic quatrefoil style elements this stool would have been a pure Arts & Crafts chair. However, incorporating that element creates a very different, but also more exciting little stool that can be used in all kinds of interiors. That 'crossover' of styles makes it unique in its own right and yet another great talking piece. Not in the least, because of its strong and sturdy look and feel. The combination of that medieval component and the perfect mix of the dark solid oak and the much lighter rush seat makes this unique antique an absolute joy to own and look at. It just looks like it came straight out of a medieval Gothic castle. It is so strong and stabile, when a grown man sits down on it, it won't even squeak. If you appreciate its design, its size and its ancient look and feel as much as we do then maybe you should be its next custodian.
