We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning hand carved in Victorian mahogany height adjustable piano stool with hand embroidered seat attributed to Gillows of Lancaster
A very good looking and well made piano stool, its exactly what collectors are looking for due to the ornately carved base, the upholstery looks period but I can’t be sure, I can have it replaced for brown leather should the new owner wish for the cost price
We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be age related patina marks all over
I have the matching harpist stool which is in Rosewood and was sold to me as a Gillows, neither piece is stamped, this has exactly the same base, the reeded legs, everything
