French Pair of Ornately-Carved Wood Stools w/Upholstered Seats, Circa 1880's

About the Item

A French pair of ornately carved wood and upholstered stools from the 19th century. These antique stools from France each have rectangular-shaped upholstered seats which are presented upon elaborately x-style wood frames carved in a motif of acanthus leaves and whorls with sunflower medallions featured in center where top and bottom sections meet. Please note the carvings of the legs are found at both the outside and inward facing side for a lavish touch. The floral brown and tan fabric is in usable condition but likely time for a re-do to make these benches suit your personal décor. This pair of French benches, circa 1880's, will a wonderful addition to a living area, or perhaps placed side by side at the foot of a bed.
