About the Item

Fundamentos del Vacío Auxiliary Table / Stool by Lasanimas Dimensions: W 50 x D 48 x H 36 cm Materials: Plywood. Las Ánimas is the creative duo composed by Trini Salamanca and Pablo Párraga, based in Seville since 2014. Our work has a strong symbolic, mystical, tribal and esoteric component. Using a language of minimalist, geometric and iterative patterns, we experiment with different materials, their shapes and textures, to develop an iconography of retro-futuristic, ceremonial and deeply evocative Aesthetics. Las Ánimas creative universe encompasses references as distant as Science Fiction, tribal art and proto cultures, distortion of reality, cybernetics, duality, experimental / industrial electronic music, architectural brutalism and so on; a vast imaginary that links with the elements of our personal environment, reinterpreting and projecting them from an atypical and personal insight. Totems that challenge functionality and form; a symbolic universe full of emotions that lead to a spiritual mood lost in time. Formerly known as Antoñito y Manolín (2014-2020), we renamed ourselves Las Ánimas as part of the creative and artistic evolution of our work, because of its link to the entrails of the soul, the expression of our inner universe and the conception of our pieces as keys or doorways between the visible (electromagnetic field) and our gravitational world.
