This is a mortar stool made in Bali, Indonesia.
It was made in the early 20th century.
It seems that the mortar was turned upside down and the bottom part was cut and trimmed.
The material used seems to be teak wood.
It is a very hard wood with strength and beautiful grain.
The seat surface is polished and has a glossy finish.
The texture of the skin of the tree itself is clearly conveyed.
It gives a strong impression of being full of vitality.
It has sufficient strength and can be used as a stool without any problems.
