About the Item

Early edition stools by Pierre Chapo, meticulously crafted from solid elm feature a thick seating with natural veining and three crossed feet. Visible joints along the seating's edge are typical of Pierre Chapo's creations. The base of the stool, built with three angled legs, provides stability and dynamic construction. Over the years, the stool has developed a beautiful, warm patina, giving it a rich character and unique charm. This natural aging process enhances the wood’s deep, earthy tones and can only be accomplished by decades of light exposure. Pierre Chapo, a French designer known for his deep appreciation of wood and craftsmanship, was heavily inspired by traditional joinery techniques and the work of architects like Charlotte Perriand. Notably, the signature rectangular joint in the seating—a hallmark of his work—was also a hallmark of Charlotte Perriand stools and tables.. This stool perfectly reflects Chapo's mastery in combining simplicity, functionality, and the beauty of natural materials. Two available, price is for this iconic set of Chapo's creation.
