About the Item

Introducing a rare set of Danish Modern barstools designed by the influential Hugo Frandsen for Spøttrup Mobler. Save for the newly re-upholstered seats these visually stunning stools are in original, vintage condition and have aged to perfection! Constructed from solid Burmese teak with exceptional old growth woodgrains and an audacious tapered slant these stools also feature intricately cut and installed chrome footrests providing comfort, stability and a pop of color to the ultra-minimalist design. The seats, redone in a rich tobacco-colored genuine Italian leather hide, were hand-sewn in exact accordance with the original design and layout. With their sleek, almost Atomic aesthetic this Danish-made set of barstools can blend seamlessly against a multitude of design backdrops from Mid-Century Modern to Contemporary to Minimalism and everywhere in between. These two stools are the last of the original set of six. Make them yours today before they're gone forever. ---Dimensions--- Width: 16 in / 40.64 cm Depth: 16 in / 40.64 cm Height: 31 in / 78.74 cm Save for the newly re-upholstered seats this artfully crafted set of Danish Modern barstools is in original, vintage condition! The solid teak legs show only minor surface scratches and light nicks (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided) but showing no stains, gouges or other damage whatsoever. The chrome footrests show only minor surface scratches and light pitting (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided). The upholstery, redone in a rich tobacco colored genuine Italian leather hide, is in showroom never-sat-in condition. This aesthetically mesmerizing set of barstools are comfortable, weightbearing and ready for a literal lifetime more of use.
