Geoffrey Harcourt Swivel Leather Lounge Chair- "F504" for Artifort, 1960's

About the Item

Mid-Century Modern swivel lounge chair designed by Geoffrey Harcourt in 1968 for famous Dutch furniture It was produced by Artifort. In 1962 British designer Geoffrey Harcourt (1935) joined the Artifort team, and developed the luxury ‘F-series’ lounge chairs in the late 1960s. This chair is Model No.- F504. Easy lounge chair has a black metal base and original brown leather seatings still in a good vintage condition. The base is in black glossy aluminium. The F504 is characterized by its simple, charismatic and austere appearance. The aluminium base and the polyurethane shell are influenced from the Space Age trend in design and fashion during the late 60s while the leather seat adds a more classical and elegant touch.
