About the Item

Free standing pine apothecary counter with 15 drawers and paneled back side. Known as a "grocer's desk" in Denmark, every country store such as a local grocer or hardware store would have had a pine counter or storage cabinet, often with many small drawers such as this one. If used in a pharmacy, this would also be considered an apothecary. This counter is free-standing, making it ideal to serve as a kitchen island in a modern home or even as a double vanity. This 7' long pine sideboard has been professionally restored, all the drawers function and it has been given a wax finish so it is ready to be placed and used. All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation (see photos of top) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this fun find.
