19th Century Brass-Bound Camphorwood Chest

About the Item

This antique camphorwood chest is a Classic. Hand-crafted in China in the late 19th century, the chest is brass-bound on the corners and edges, with bail handles mounted to the sides. We love how the wood has accrued marks over the years, giving the chest character and a palpable sense of history. Dimensions: 41.5 in. width 22 in. depth 20 in. height Condition notes: In good condition. Wear to the wood and brass, including surface scratches and scuffs that are all consistent with the chest's age and use. Natural wood splitting to the lid.
