About

This blanket chest is from the north of Sweden and is hand made using dovetailed joints instead of nails. The dense heavy pine used in construction as well as the dark red, black and yellow simple painted surface pays homage to the no nonsense attitude of the fishermen and their families who inhabit the far north. The lock (although not working) is the original and is hand-forged wrought iron .
The perfect size to use as a coffee table or at the end of a bed.
